1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and password (encrypted) when you register.
• Profile Information: Student grade level, learning goals, and role (student, parent, teacher).
• Learning Data: Lesson progress, quiz scores, XP points, badges earned, streaks, and time spent.
• Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
• Usage Data: Device type, operating system, app version, and interaction logs to improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
• To track learning progress, generate reports, and personalize content.
• To process subscription payments and manage billing.
• To send progress reports to parents and teachers (where applicable).
• To provide AI-powered coaching and respond to support requests.
• To improve our lessons, features, and overall user experience.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.

3. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Our Service is designed for students in grades 8–12 and is directed to children under 13 in some cases. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We collect minimal personal information necessary to provide the educational Service. For users under 13, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting personal information. Parents may review, delete, or request that we stop collecting their child's information at any time by contacting us at support@geometryacademy.com.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with:

• Stripe: For secure payment processing (billing data only).
• Cloud Infrastructure Providers: To host and deliver the Service.
• AI Service Providers: To power the AI Coach feature — see "AI Coach and your data" below.
• Legal Authorities: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

5. AI Coach and your data

What Geo does with your data. When a student sends a message to the AI Coach ("Geo"), the app sends the student's last 8 messages and coach replies from the current chat, plus our fixed instructions for Geo (a Socratic geometry tutor with safety rules for teens), to an AI service to generate a reply. No web search is used.

We do not send the student's name, email, account details, progress, or which lesson they are on.

Please don't share personal information. Students should not type personal information — full name, address, phone, school, or passwords — into the chat.

Who processes it. The AI model is Google Gemini, accessed through our app platform (Base44). Google and Base44 are service providers that process messages to generate replies and may handle data under their own terms: Google's privacy terms and Base44's privacy terms. Payments are processed by Stripe, and we do not store card numbers.

What we store. Chat text is kept in the student's browser for the current session only — it is not saved to our database and is gone when the student leaves or resets the chat. We store a daily usage counter for the account (user ID, date, and message count) so we can enforce the free daily limit; it does not contain message text. Students can see their own count, and administrators can see all counts.

Reports. If a student taps "Report" on a Geo reply, we save the reported reply, up to about 8,000 characters of the surrounding conversation, the reason, and any comment, for review by our administrators only. The student cannot view the report afterward. We keep these reports for 12 months, after which they are deleted. A student or parent can request earlier deletion by contacting support@geometryacademy.com.

Who can see what. Parents and teachers cannot see AI Coach conversations. They see only progress data and the weekly progress summary. Conversations are not used for advertising and are not sold.

Safety. Geo follows safety rules for teen users. Students can report any reply using the Report button, and reports are reviewed by our administrators.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time. We will delete your data within 30 days of such a request, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@geometryacademy.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy in the app and updating the "Last updated" date.

9. Accuracy Disclaimer

Geometry Mastery Academy has made best efforts to ensure accurate information and answers throughout the app, including lessons, quizzes, vocabulary definitions, SAT/ACT prep materials, real-world scenarios, and AI Coach responses. However, given the nature of educational content and the possibility of alternate solution methods, we cannot guarantee that every answer is free from error or that all approaches align with every authority's methodology.

If you believe any answer or explanation is incorrect or has been challenged by another authority, please report it to us at support@geometryacademy.com and we will review and correct it promptly. We encourage students and educators to verify answers using multiple sources and to consult their instructors when in doubt.
